Three journalists prisoned

İSTANBUL – 26 days  taken into custody  journalist Ömer Çelik, Tunca Öğreten and Mahir Kanaat were prisoned ; Derya Okatan,Metin Yoksu and Eray Saygın were released.

Closed Dicle News Agency (DİHA) news director Ömer Çelik, DİHA reporter Metin Yoksu, Dİken writer Tunca Öğreten, Etkin News Agency (ETHA) editor in chief Derya Okatan, Birgün Newspaper Accounting supervisor Mahir Kanaat and Yolculuk Newspaper publisher Eray Saygın were sent to court after they were taken into custody on reason of the news about Minister Berat Albayrak which Redhack leaked the e-mails of Albayrak.


Six journalists  were sent to court for arrest after prosecutor questioned. Prosecution charged Diken writer Tunc Öğreten on “being member of illegal organization” and “seizing personal data lawlessness and propagate it” ; Ömer Çelik and Mahir Kanat “ being member of illegal organization” ; Metin Yoksu, Derya Okatan and Eray Saygın “ propaganda for illegal organization”.

Ömer Çelik, Tunca Öğreten and Mahir Kanat were prisoned on charges of “being member of illegal organization” and Derya Okatan,Metin Yoksu and Eray Saygın were released by judicial control decision.
