Yıldırım : We will run a campaign with the President not with MHP

ANKARA –Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım said “ Referendum on 2007 was necessary because they didn’t let us choose our president”. Yıldırım also mentioned that they will run a referendum  campaign not with MHP but with President Erdoğan.

Prime Minister Yıldırım “ Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) supports the draft because of their principle. Therefore MHP will support the campaign. But we will not run a referendum campaign with MHP even if there is same aim. We will run a referendum campaign with President Erdoğan” said.

 Justice and Development Party (AKP) chair and Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım spoke about the referendum for constitutional amendment which also includes the presidency system.

“ There are something I need to say to whom are against the constitutional amendment.Main opposition party was blocked us when we want to choose the president on 2007 even we had 363 parliamentarian in the assembly .Therefore we went to the people for choose our president. So today we are doing is same what we did on 2007” said Yıldırım.

 Prime Minister also mentioned that referendum will be on the first half of April 2017.
