Imprisoned journalist Dayan kept in a single cell

MERSİN – Imprisoned Demokratik Ulus Newspaper former editor in-chief Arafat Dayan is kept single cell since seven months in Silifke Prison.

Demokratik Ulus Newspaper (Democratic Nation) former editor in-chief Arafat Dayan had been taken into custody then have been jailed on July 2016 on claims of “ being member of illegal organization” and “propaganda for illegal organization” . Dayan spoke out the conditions to his family on phone call.

Father İbrahim Dayan said “ He is kept in a single cell since seven months in the prison and he faces with arbitrary treatment. “ My son is jailed because of he is a journalist” said father Dayan.
