ANKARA – HDP Armenian PM Garo Paylan was banned for three negotiates due to ‘genocide’ discourse in his speech. Paylan “ I know very well what happened to my people. I wanted to point out the mistakes which made in the past” said.

Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) İstanbul Parliamentarian Garo Paylan spoke on Constitution negotiation on article 11. Paylan was banned for three negotiations because he used ‘genocide’ word in his speech. Justice and Development Party (AKP), Republic People Party (CHP) and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) reacted to Paylan’s speech.

Paylan also reminded that he had already used ‘genocide’ word in the assembly for many times. “ I wanted to taken a lesson from the past while we were negotiating on constitutional amendment. A monistic constitution was made a century ago. Diversities were ignored. We lost four different nations during the WW I. We lost Armenians ,Greeks in Turkey, Assyrian and Jewish. I mentioned that if we make same mistake we may live with same pains” said Paylan.

“ MHP threatened to AKP ‘if you don’t ban to Paylan because of his speech we will withdraw our supports’. There is no such an implementation before. And unfortunately I was banned because of my speech” said Paylan.
