ANKARA – HDP Istanbul PM Garo Paylan applied to the constitutional court (AYM) to cancel the banned to attend for three session of assembly. Garo Paylan was banned to attend for three session of the assembly due to using “genocide” word. Human Rights Association (İHD) also supported to Paylan.
Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Istanbul Parliamentarian Garo Paylan applied to AYM to cancle the ban to attend to three sessions of the assembly. Paylan also made a statement after the application.
“ My speech was banned on January 13 that because I used “ genocide”. Despite to numbers time I used to “genocide” , parliamentarian started to tease to me and the Parliamentary Deputy Speaker Ahmet Aydın obviously grabbed my speech’s right.
Againt the teasing despite I asked five more minutes , Aydın ‘ there is no such a right’ said to me and refused my demand.
Also ‘Genocide’ word I mentioned was deleted the Grand National Assembly of Turkey’s official record by demanding of other member.
Therefore I was banned to attend for three sessions of the assembly due to my speech” said Paylan.
İHD İstanbul Branch made a press statement for supporting to Garo Paylan. İHD Istanbul executive Remzi Çelik and İHD co-chair Eren Keskin attended to the press conference with Garo Paylan.
