Jaournalist Turan released by decision of the judicial control

BİNGÖL –Closed Dicle News Agency (DİHA) reporter Semra Turan was released by judicial control decision after she was taken into custody by claim of “propaganda for illegal organization”. Turan’s news she made, and social media shares was shown as evidences to the court.


Closed DİHA reporter Semra Turan had been taken into custody on January 13 by claim of “propaganda for illegal organization”. Turan was taken to court and questioned by prosecutor. The news Turan made and social media’s shares were shown as evidence by police. But Turan mentioned that she shared the news as part of freedom of information and therefore that can’t be a crime.

Prosecutor decided to release Turan under the judicial control.
