16 people detained ongoing operations

NEWS BUEROU – 16 people were taken into custody at continuing detention operation in Siirt and Van. Also one person was jailed in Erzurum.

Detention and jailing is continuing in Siirt, Erzurum and Van cities. Five students were taken into custody in raids towards to Van Yüzüncü Yıl University. Students were taken into custody on charge of “propaganda for illegal organization” and taken to police headqu
Police also raided to numbers houses in Kurtalan county of Siirt. Many people included former Kurtalan municipality co-mayor Necati Yılmaz were taken into custody.

Also a citizen named Ömer Uğur was jailed after he was taken into custody in Karaçoban-Erzurum. Uğur was jailed on claim of “propaganda for illegal organization” and social media shares were shown as evidences.
