İSTANBUL – 24 days taken into custody six journalists were sent to court for arrest.

Six journalists were sent to court for arrest after prosecution’s questioned ended.

Journalist Tunca Öğreten was sent to court for arrest on charges of “ being member of illegal armed organization” and “ seizing the personal data and propagate it” ; Ömer Çelik, Eray Saygın, Derya Okatan and Metin Yoksu were sent to court for arrest on charges of “propaganda for illegal organization” ; Mahir Kanat was sent to court for arrest on charges of “ being member of illegal armed organization by prosecutor.

Journalist Ömer Çelik refused the claims and said “ I have been working with Dicle News Agency (DİHA) as chief in editor for seven years. I was added in a twitter group which Minister Albayrak’s e-mails leaked without my information due to I am journalist. Also anyone can add you in a group without your permission. I started to follow the group because there were some important information which you can make new. I quitted from the group when politic propaganda was began to make. I don’t remember how long I follow the group. I just know our reporter Metin Yoksu personally in the group. Mahir Kanat, Derya Okatan and Tunca Öğreten are just known as journalist by me. I saw the hacked e-mails of Minister Albayrak. Therefore I kept continue to follow because there were valuable information for making news. I already published some article and news about these information. I just use the information which concerned by population. I never used his private life’s information to the public. I know Redhack group is hacking. But I don’t know anybody from this group. I follow this group from twitter as well because of I am journalist.”

Metin Yoksu “ You are charging me by e-mail and twitter. These were news which published already. This is out of question to “propaganda for illegal organization”. Someone had created a group which for sharing hacked e-mail writing of Minister Albayrak and they added me. I know some people in the group that because they are journalists. Except this there is no any personal connection with them” said to prosecutor.
